art and craft ideas for home decor

hi melody again on behalf of expert villagei'm going to show you how to put a transfer onto a household item that would make it lookless boring. these are rub on transfers and i have chosen this design because there isa longer one involved in it and i'm going to cut that piece out. you don't have to,you can just leave it where it is but i think i need to cut it so i don't transfer partof something else and waste it on just having it stuck to the wrong thing. it is rathersticky on the back where my hand is holding underneath it is actually attaching itselfto my finger right now. i rather it not be transfer to my finger, these make great tattoosfor your children if you want a removable tattoo. just rub on of these on your child.there we go alright this is the one that we

are going to put on and you place it whereyou want it to go and i think that looks where about where i want it. then these packagescome with a little rub on stick and you just start to rub over the picture so that it wouldtransfer onto the item that you want it to be on. it is a little bodging right thereand it would tell you it would make little crackling noises if there is air under therejust push them out and keep rubbing until your entire design has had pressure over itwhich would transfer the actually design from the plastic clear plastic onto your item.in a minute when you get ready to pull it you want to go very slowly and if it lookslike it has not attach it self you definitely want to stop and scrap on there again to putsome pressure on it. now we are going to check

our design and see it is not quiet going downyet. you have to apply fairly amount of pressure as you could see my finger is really pushingon this. depends on what you are putting it on to also. this can was previously paintedand it may have a little bit of dust or dryness on it. i did wash it off first but you neverknow just see this picture is starting to appear on the item. especially when you gotlittle buds or little flowers or little lines be sure to go over them again as you can seei'm actually pulling it and watching it if it doesn't look like it is sticking i'm justkeeping it right up there close, ripping again because i want that design in total i wantit to be a complete design. so go really really

slow and watch you are doing underneath. i'malmost to the end almost there just a little

tiny more just to make sure that it is thereand there we go a completed design. in our next segment i'm going to show you how touse other items and make them attractive and something useful around the house and somethingless boring then you started.

hello friends! i’m smitha from the blog smiling colorsand today i have a bonus short video for you in which i show you how i made these handpainted hand cut flowers. i really wanted some pretty die cut flowersfor a project, and when i couldn't find what i needed at the store, i just came home andmade these. you could use these flowers on any craft project,i used them to decorate these handmade journals. to make the flowers, i used acrylic paintsin pretty pastel colors. these are by deco art, and i will leave infoabout the colors in the description below. i also have some cream colored card stockand a flat paintbrush. let’s get started. ive added my paints into the little disheshere. i am dipping my brush into the paint and thenquickly painting 5 petals for a flower. here is a closer look now, i am just addingthe paint in quick strokes. while paining a bunch of flowers it is a goodidea to have different sized flowers- some with 3 petals and some with more. i also painted som...

valentine's day craft projects

hi. i'm amy warkentien from expert villageand we're on step two of our window card. and we're going to put what's going to behindthe window which is a pretty piece of colored paper. it costs $1 to $2 at the craft store.and to make sure that we get it the right size we're going to turn it over. we're notgoing to mark on our pretty paper. we're going to mark on the back side. so, take a penciland trace around your heart that you already have cut out on your card. and then go aheadand cut it out. i'm going to use these nice looking scissors. i'm going to cut away fromwhere this is, a little bit larger, so that it'll be easier to place it inside the card. and then after we have this finished we'regoing to glue it down with a glue stick. make sure to not give kids too much leverage onthe glue stick because they'll go a little crazy and it will get everywhere. so, justcrank it up just a little and go ahead and put it on the back side of you...
