craft ideas for 4th of july

for this project, we're going to make a supersimple raggedy baby girl headband. and i just love this because it's so simpleto make, and it's got kind of a raggedy, cute look. what i'm doing here is i'm taking my 1 1/2"headband, and you've got the little holes here. so i'm taking this yarn, and this is a babyyarn, so it's very, very soft and it won't be harsh against your baby's head. so now i'm going to just weave through fromthe back of the - from the inside of the headband, and i'm going to double this here so it'sdoubled, and then i'm going to bring my bowdabra

back here and lay this down into my bowdabrabecause doubling it is going to be like the slipknot that we make with our bowdabra bowwire. now what i've done is i've taken a bunch ofdifferent lengths of tulle, anywhere from like 5-7", and it's 5" wide tulle. and i just cut mixed and matched. and all i did is i took the ends and i justtie a knot on each end of the tulle. and i think it's really fun because it givesit that raggedy edge kind of cute look that's really in style right now. so here we go.

so then we do that. now all i'm going to do is i'm going to justtake these, and like i said, i have various different sizes and colors, and i'm just goingto kind of mix and match. and then i have some yarn, and i'm going tolay some yarn down in there, and lay some more of my tulle. as we know, tulle sticks to everything, soof course it's sticking, but it's really easy to do this in the bowdabra because the bowdabraholds everything together. another piece of my yarn here, and a few moreof my little knotted ends, yarn, lay that down in there.

and you can just experiment. i really have - there's no rhyme or reasonto what i'm doing. i'm just having fun doing it, and i can'twait to see this on a little baby. and when you make these for your own littlebabies, please be sure to send me pictures. now what i'm doing here is i've got, becausei folded this in half, i have a slipknot. so i'm going to pull the two ends throughthe slipknot and i'm going to just hold the bow down and pull it really tight, just likewe do with our bowdabra bow wire. and then i'm going to pull it out of the bowdabra, separate my ends, bring it around to the back of the bow and i'm just going to tie it off.

this is so soft it's almost hard to work with. and tie it here, and then we're just goingto fluff it and play with it a little bit here until you have this really, really cuteraggedy looking bow headband for your little baby girl.

valentine's day craft projects

hi. i'm amy warkentien from expert villageand we're on step two of our window card. and we're going to put what's going to behindthe window which is a pretty piece of colored paper. it costs $1 to $2 at the craft store.and to make sure that we get it the right size we're going to turn it over. we're notgoing to mark on our pretty paper. we're going to mark on the back side. so, take a penciland trace around your heart that you already have cut out on your card. and then go aheadand cut it out. i'm going to use these nice looking scissors. i'm going to cut away fromwhere this is, a little bit larger, so that it'll be easier to place it inside the card. and then after we have this finished we'regoing to glue it down with a glue stick. make sure to not give kids too much leverage onthe glue stick because they'll go a little crazy and it will get everywhere. so, justcrank it up just a little and go ahead and put it on the back side of you...
