craft ideas for the home

hey guys so today i'm going to show youhow to make this giant liquid starbucks that you can use as storage or as a giftbox if you're new to kimspired diy welcome ifyou'd like to see more fun diys please click that subscribe button this is also a collab with sarah fromsocraftastic i will leave a link for her video down below so please go check thatout and also subscribe to our channel now let's get on with the video to beginyou will need two large round containers i found both of these at party city one is a large cylinder container andthe other is a medium cylinder container

the next thing you'll need is some ofthese small plastic bowls i found them at the dollar store they come in a packof 4 if you don't have these you can also usethe bottom from one of these cups or you can use a bottom from a plastic waterbottle next i'm going to use this waterresistant glue i'm just going to glue around the bottom of the bowl and theni'm going to attach that to the bottom of the medium cylinder and the reasonfor doing this step is that the middle cylinder needs to be the same height asthe outer cylinder you will want to let that dry for about a half hour

the next step is to run the same gluearound the top of the bowl and then place that bass down into the largecylinder making sure you place it in the center you will want to give thisprocess a full 24 hours to dry to seal off the top of the container you willneed some acetate paper or you can also use some of this clear vinyl this clearvinyl i found at walmart i'm going to use the acetate paper i took my largecylinder traced around it and then i took the medium cylinder put that in thedirect center and traced around that once you're done you should havesomething that looks like this now to make sure it fits onto thecontainers when you cut it out cut out

directly on the outside line it on the inside line you want to cutout just inside of that and here's what you should have once it's cut out tomake the liquid i'm just going to use some soap and acrylic paint in aseparate container add some soap and some acrylic paint and then mix that alltogether after the glue had dried what i did was i took a funnel and then i addedmy mixture to the container i left a little room at the top so icould see the mixture flow around when i turned it upside down with the same glue as i used before i'mgoing to glue these circle that i cut

out to the container i just applied someglue along the top of the large container and then the medium containerand then i glued the circle to the top i let that dry for 24 hours i went online and i printed out thisstarbucks logo the next step is optional but i wantedit to be shiny so i use some laminating paper to laminate it once i had itlaminated then i cut it out here it is after it was cut out i just applied someregular elmer's glue to the back and then glued that to the container to makethe top i'm going to use one of these candy containers

i found this party city also i'm justgoing to use this top clear part you will also need two packages of whitemodel magic play just roll that into a ball and then intoa long to tube shape i did each packaged separately as it waseasier to roll out the clay here is my clay from the first package what i did was i just began by wrappingthat around the container you will then want to repeat thatprocess with the second package of clay once you have it all wrapped around thenyou can just begin by smoothing out all of the clay to make it look more like awhip cream effect with some green model

magic clay i just rolled out a little tube shapecut down the size so it resembled the straw and then just placed my straw intothe whipped cream now i'm going to use some of this shinyhot chocolate puffy paint and i'm going to drizzlethat over the top of the whipped cream once the puffy paint has dried then youare ready to use your giant liquid starbucks as storage or gift box if you're going to use it as a gift box i do recommend using those little velcrostrips

to velcro the top to the bottom and thatis how you make your giant liquid starbucks i hope you guys enjoyed thisvideo tutorial please remember to check out sarah's video again the link will bedown below

hello friends! i’m smitha from the blog smiling colorsand today i have a bonus short video for you in which i show you how i made these handpainted hand cut flowers. i really wanted some pretty die cut flowersfor a project, and when i couldn't find what i needed at the store, i just came home andmade these. you could use these flowers on any craft project,i used them to decorate these handmade journals. to make the flowers, i used acrylic paintsin pretty pastel colors. these are by deco art, and i will leave infoabout the colors in the description below. i also have some cream colored card stockand a flat paintbrush. let’s get started. ive added my paints into the little disheshere. i am dipping my brush into the paint and thenquickly painting 5 petals for a flower. here is a closer look now, i am just addingthe paint in quick strokes. while paining a bunch of flowers it is a goodidea to have different sized flowers- some with 3 petals and some with more. i also painted som...

valentine's day craft projects

hi. i'm amy warkentien from expert villageand we're on step two of our window card. and we're going to put what's going to behindthe window which is a pretty piece of colored paper. it costs $1 to $2 at the craft store.and to make sure that we get it the right size we're going to turn it over. we're notgoing to mark on our pretty paper. we're going to mark on the back side. so, take a penciland trace around your heart that you already have cut out on your card. and then go aheadand cut it out. i'm going to use these nice looking scissors. i'm going to cut away fromwhere this is, a little bit larger, so that it'll be easier to place it inside the card. and then after we have this finished we'regoing to glue it down with a glue stick. make sure to not give kids too much leverage onthe glue stick because they'll go a little crazy and it will get everywhere. so, justcrank it up just a little and go ahead and put it on the back side of you...
