hi, this is sue from my life greetings. todaywe're going to be talking about how to display your holiday cards. and as you all know, whathappens every year - our mailboxes get inundated with holiday cards from friends and family, you start taping them to your mantel, then you remember the nightmare from last januarywhen you had to scrape the scotch tape off the wood. you run to the fridge, only to discoverthat your new stainless steel refrigerator is magnet proof. now where are you going toput them? here are some tape and magnet-free ways to display those holiday cards. a great place to put them is on your kitchencabinets. people (families, homeowners, americans), they really spend a lot of time in their kitchens.we cook here, we unwind with friends, we host
holidays, we help our kids with homework - everydaylife. let's face it, the kitchen is a really busy place. your kitchen cabinets are a greatplace to show off and enjoy your holiday cards. attach your favorite ribbon, some twine, evenyarn to your cabinets and use small clothespins to hang your cards. another great idea is to use a wire wreath.if you don’t want to clutter up your kitchen cabinets, or you don’t get that many, thena wreath is a great option. you can pick up a wire frame wreath at your local craft store.then hang it on the wall with a fun ribbon or rope. in this scenario, we used a spareshoelace and dressed it up with some circles cut from white, green and gray felt. the cardsare held up again by some tiny clothespins.
we all have windows, and they don't have tohave curtain to be dressed up. use some bakers twine and mini-clothespins to display yourholiday cards on the many windows you have throughout your house. on your christmas tree is a great place toput holiday cards. have you ever received an ornament card? the name says it all. thesecircular cards come with a tassel or a ribbon perfect for hanging on your christmas tree. another option for your tree, especially ifyou have a real tree - sometimes you have the gaps in the boughs - putting your holidaycards in those places are great fillers. if you're looking for more festive ways thatyou can display your cards,
here are a few options. you can use a bulletin board with push pins.a door and yarn display - kind of like we did on the cabinets, but on a larger door.you can do a plywood display - you can cut it into any shape you'd like. a tree branch display - a great way to getrid of some of the twigs from your yard. a staircase garland display, a wire trellisdisplay, wood and pom pom garland display - how much fun would that be to make withyour kids? a mantel and string display, or
a wooden display. these are just some of the many great ideas.use your imagination,
and your options are limitless. thanks for watching, and have a great day.
