this project can be done in two stages. we'regoing to start with the first stage. and setting up for that what we need to do is have ourposter board in front of us, and also our pieces of paper. we want to have the thickerpieces and also the thin piece. in order to attach all of this we're going to need quitea bit of tape. since the poster board has a generally waxy surface, we're going to takeat least six pieces of small, small pieces of tape about this size, and attach them downalong the edge. we're doing that because we're going to need them later and this is justgoing to make it easier. this is a great time to get the kids involved. they can eitherattempt to rip the tape themselves, or you can give it to them. one of the things i thinkis a lot of fun when working with a, in a
collaborative project, mother and child, fatherand child, when the child is younger, is to take the tape and attach it to their hand.have them wear it while they're getting ready
for the project and that way they feel reallyinvolved. and it's a lot of fun and something that you probably don't normally do. we'regoing to get all this tape ready, and then i'm also going to do as many of the shortpieces i have, i'm going to do about a three, two to three inch piece as well along theother side.
