valentine's day craft projects

a pencil for you or your mom or your friend or your dad or somebody. somebody who is in your life and in your heart. hi guys. today we are going to do some fun stuff. we are going to do valentine cards. so we have white paper, red paper, purple paper and pink paper. and here's all my friends. and let's get started. i'm going to draw the heart for her. we're going to do a heart. she made like straight and the same sides. and i'm going to cut them out. there's my heart.

so let's do the other one. so now you want to take another white piece of paper place it underneath the, above the newspaper and then you put the heart in the middle. you want to do pink paint. i'm going to be pouring it inside. alright just put a little bit in the saucer. okay. okay this is how it looks. oh my gosh it's like blood. with a nice pencil you're going to dab it in. yeah put the eraser in and then you're going to put all over it. i'm almost done! woohoo! okay take it off.

alright and when you take it. there's our heart. there's a heart there and there's a heart here. like that. so let's that dry while we're doing this heart. so this is a nice way to do the first, the first heart and you can write a message on it. alright now the next one you're going to put glue on it to put it together for the second one. my teacher always says if you pass the line let it dry. so here is the second one. and you can write another message on this one to a different friend. right maddie? unhuh. third one we're going to cut our a heart for her big that fits her hands. what? now for this we have our white heart and we got a pack of these. alright give me your hand.

lay out your hand like this. this is so fun. so i want you to put your hand like this. okay. like that. lift it up. nice! good job. eww. alright next hand. lift it up. nice! guys this is so weird ma. nice. so we added a border to it.

right maddie? yeah. a nice border. okay. look at the paint. it's like a snake. now you're going to put the glue to put it there. okay. like always. and that's another one you can put another name on for. so we're going to use red paint for this one to paint her hand. ohh not again. ahh. now we're going to have the head. so this is the body. umhm. of the butterfly. oh that looks like the arm and the three legs.

so i put it in half. and she does it like that so she can make two hearts. ohhh. glue time! glue it. you want to cut one of these in half. fold it in half. yeah. like that?

like that. and now we're going to put it right there too. to make the... head of the things. umhm. but for this we are going to use super glue. so i'm going to do this part because this is really hot. always have a parent do it. now i want you to curl the antenas. and now we're going to put googly eyes! should we put a smile on it? yeah. there.

it's okay if it doesn't show really good because it's just practicing or giving it for real. it's okay because people will still like it. so do you want to put dots there like you did with the other one? so this is how we made our own butterfly we made some squiggly and some eyes. she's looking down now. and i messed up or something. so we are putting it down and look it. she's moving her eyes now. you hear the sound. and now we are going to make the pom-poms. so this part you need an adult to do this because it's with the hot glue.

so i just took one of these and cut it in half to make it this size and then i fold them together like this. and then we are just going to glue it on top. guy this is how it looks like for now. so we are going to cut one of these again. and then we are going to put this part just like that in here. with the hot glue. so now you got to put googly eyes on it. okay. so there is how it looks like. show them. you hear the sound. anyways. so now you are going to wrap it around the pencil. it's a pencil topper.

hi! and now it's a pencil topper. so here we have our beautiful one, our other beautiful one, and our two pencils. and here what we did second, and first, this one was third and last. and then this one was the last. the very last one. bye bye. (singing) whoa! oh this is going to be fun!

hi. i'm amy warkentien from expert villageand we're on step two of our window card. and we're going to put what's going to behindthe window which is a pretty piece of colored paper. it costs $1 to $2 at the craft store.and to make sure that we get it the right size we're going to turn it over. we're notgoing to mark on our pretty paper. we're going to mark on the back side. so, take a penciland trace around your heart that you already have cut out on your card. and then go aheadand cut it out. i'm going to use these nice looking scissors. i'm going to cut away fromwhere this is, a little bit larger, so that it'll be easier to place it inside the card. and then after we have this finished we'regoing to glue it down with a glue stick. make sure to not give kids too much leverage onthe glue stick because they'll go a little crazy and it will get everywhere. so, justcrank it up just a little and go ahead and put it on the back side of you...
